I felt like trying something a bit different with my dogs so turned to Oscar for inspiration! Oscar is obsessed with vehicles, wheels and driving and so digger dogs were born! Oscar was delighted when he saw the first one.
To be honest vehicles and machinery are not my strong points within painting, but I decided rather than painting the dogs on full size automobiles I would use children’s ride on versions instead and I love this softer look to them.
From left to right above and below I created ‘digger dog’, ‘collie in a car’, ‘lab with on a loader’, ‘greyhound in a gator’ and ‘foxy farmer’.
I did want to try and branch out a bit from just rise on toys… so I looked to other things Oscar enjoys! He absolutely loves crazily pushing his toy pram around and having pretend cups of tea, and so followed ‘poodle with a pram’ and ‘terrier pouring the tea’.
All now! available as A5 greetings cards. Will be adding these to my Etsy shop when I manage to get round to it 🙈 (my hands always seem to be full of baby at the moment…) or you can message me via Facebook (Paws Four Art) or Instagram (@elsamegan) to order! They are £2.50 each or 5 for £10.
